Array Digital Infrastructure Sells Spectrum License to Verizon, Prioritizes Shareholder Value

Array Digital Infrastructure (AD), a prominent owner and operator of shared wireless communication infrastructure, has recently finalized a significant transaction. The company successfully completed the sale of a segment of its spectrum license to Verizon, securing $1.0 billion. This development follows a prior spectrum divestiture to T-Mobile in May, which brought in $168 million for 700MHz and 600MHz bands. These sales are integral to AD's overarching strategy, initially outlined in May 2024, focusing on monetizing its remaining spectrum assets subsequent to the sale of its T-Mobile wireless operations in August 2025.

In conjunction with these strategic divestitures, Array Digital's Board of Directors announced a special cash dividend of $11 per share. This dividend is scheduled for payment on June 25, 2026, to shareholders of record as of June 11, 2026. Anthony Carlson, the CEO of Array Digital, emphasized the importance of these transactions, highlighting them as key milestones that reinforce the company's dedication to returning value to its shareholders through the proceeds generated from asset sales.

Looking ahead, the special committee of the Board continues to assess a non-binding acquisition proposal from Telephone and Data Systems. While this evaluation is ongoing, no definitive decisions have been reached. As a leading provider with over 4,400 cell towers across the United States, Array Digital Infrastructure, formerly known as United States Cellular Corporation, plays a crucial role in facilitating the deployment of 5G and other advanced wireless technologies nationwide.

This strategic approach of asset monetization and shareholder returns demonstrates a forward-thinking business model. By focusing on core strengths and optimizing its portfolio, Array Digital is paving the way for sustained growth and value creation in the dynamic telecommunications landscape. The company's commitment to delivering tangible benefits to its investors, while also supporting critical infrastructure development, sets a positive example for the industry.
