The inaugural Gordon Murray T.50s Niki Lauda, a track-focused marvel, is poised for its public reveal at the prestigious Goodwood Festival of Speed. Gordon Murray Automotive is showcasing the first customer-commissioned T.50s Niki Lauda at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, a highly anticipated event for automotive enthusiasts. This track-exclusive hypercar is a tribute to Murray's significant achievement in Formula 1 racing, specifically his victory at the 1974 South African Grand Prix. The vehicle's design incorporates elements that reflect this heritage, including a distinctive white exterior with a South African flag-inspired livery, featuring a prominent hood stripe and accent colors on its aerodynamic fins. This special edition T.50s, designated as chassis 1, will be dynamically demonstrated by Gordon Murray himself as he drives it up the iconic Goodwood hill climb, offering attendees a firsthand look at its capabilities.

Underneath its striking exterior, the T.50s Niki Lauda houses a potent 3.9-liter Cosworth V12 engine, capable of generating an impressive 761 horsepower at an astonishing 11,500 rpm. Power is seamlessly transferred through a six-speed gearbox, enhanced with paddle shifters for rapid gear changes. The driver-centric cockpit places the driver in a central seating position, optimizing control and visibility. The advanced adjustable aerodynamics are engineered to produce a staggering 2,645 pounds of downforce, ensuring exceptional grip and stability on the track. Gordon Murray Automotive has limited the production of this exclusive model to just 25 units, all of which have already been allocated to eager buyers, each commanding a starting price of $3 million.

In addition to the T.50s Niki Lauda, Gordon Murray Automotive plans to unveil three other significant vehicles at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. This includes the European debut of the S1 LM design model, an exciting prospect for fans of lightweight performance. The event will also feature the Le Mans GTR XP1 prototype, which provides a preview of the 24 production models slated for future build.
