My Hero Academia Celebrates 10th Anniversary with Global Streaming and New Episode

by : Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie

To celebrate a significant milestone, Toho has launched a global campaign to mark the tenth anniversary of "My Hero Academia The Animation." This initiative features the release of fresh key artwork and an updated visual for the highly anticipated special episode, "More." The celebration also includes a free streaming event for fans worldwide, aligning with the exact decade since the anime's initial broadcast in 2016.

A core element of this anniversary festivity is a limited-time streaming marathon available on the official Toho animation YouTube channel. Seasons 1 through 3, encompassing episodes 1 to 63, are being offered free of charge with subtitles in seven languages: English, French, Latin American Spanish, European Spanish, German, Portuguese, and Italian. Season 1 commenced on April 3, with subsequent seasons scheduled for release monthly until August 2026. Furthermore, a new English-language key visual has been unveiled for "More," a standalone episode that will debut on May 2, exclusively on Crunchyroll globally (excluding Asian territories). This episode adapts chapter 431 of Kohei Horikoshi's manga, the final collected volume, and continues the narrative of Izuku "Deku" Midoriya and his U.A. High School classmates eight years after their graduation.

This extensive anniversary program, which will continue throughout 2026, showcases the enduring power of storytelling and character development in captivating audiences globally. It celebrates the journey of a young protagonist, Izuku Midoriya, who, despite lacking inherent superpowers in a world dominated by them, strives to become a hero. His dedication and perseverance, alongside his classmates at U.A. High School, demonstrate the universal appeal of overcoming adversity and pursuing one's dreams. This narrative serves as an inspiring reminder that courage, friendship, and an unwavering belief in oneself are true superpowers, capable of shaping a better future.
