During a special gathering in Hollywood, the Producers Guild of America unveiled several of its 2026 award winners. Among those recognized were the beloved children's series "Sesame Street" for Outstanding Children's Program and the acclaimed documentary series "Formula 1: Drive to Survive" for Outstanding Sports Program. These initial announcements offer a glimpse into the broader spectrum of talent and productions that will be celebrated at the full PGA Awards event.

"Adolescence" Secures Short-Form Recognition

In addition to the children's and sports categories, the short-form production "Adolescence: The Making of Adolescence" was also honored with an early PGA Award. This category acknowledges innovative and impactful content presented in shorter formats, demonstrating the diverse range of storytelling celebrated by the guild.

Innovation and Entrepreneurial Spirit Lauded

The PGA also recognized significant contributions to the industry beyond specific program categories. "The Wizard of Oz at Sphere" received the PGA Innovation Award, which commends groundbreaking entertainment experiences utilizing advanced technologies such as VR and AR. Furthermore, Lydia Dean Pilcher was presented with the Vance Van Petten Entrepreneurial Spirit Producing Award for her dedicated efforts in promoting sustainability within film and television, including her leadership of the PGA's Sustainability Task Force. The Debra Hill Fellowship, supporting emerging producers, was awarded to Jessica Li, an NYU graduate, celebrating new talent in the field.
